Spirit & Story

Baby yak wool comes from the soft undercoat of young yaks raised at high altitude in the Himalayan region. It is collected during the animals' natural molting season — not sheared.
The fiber is extraordinarily fine, which is why it feels softer than cashmere and warmer than merino at a lighter weight.

In Bhutan, yak herding and textile production have been intertwined for centuries. The embroidered silk spine panel on each poncho is handwoven by Bhutanese artisans using traditional looms.

This is a piece built for decades of use. Baby yak wool holds its shape, holds its warmth, and gets better with age.
