ABOUT US
Earth Wisdom Collection brings you one-of-a-kind, “Spirit Guide Apparel & Jewelry”, that tells a story worth sharing.
Earth Wisdom Collection by Kathi
Kathi von Koerber, filmmaker, dancer, healer, and visionary curator, has dedicated her life to studying ancient indigenous wisdom and wellness rituals. Together with her husband and co-founder Hernando Villa, their mission is to share exceptional works of art with the world.
Curating Fair Trade Indigenous Masterpieces
Kathi's extensive travels take her to remote corners of the world such as Bhutan and Colombia, where she collaborates with indigenous masters of weaving and beadwork through fair trade practices. She then partners with leading fashion designers to create truly unique pieces that blend the traditional with the modern.
Museum-Quality Heirloom Apparel and Jewelry
The heart of our collection is the Bhutanese Line, featuring heirloom clothing and accessories. It incorporates various styles, from elegant silk kimonos to intricately woven protective belts, with silk embroideries meticulously hand-crafted over months. This is 'Slow Fashion' at its finest. Every stitch is intentional, every design tells a story, and each piece is made to last. Following Bhutanese tradition, where cherished weavings are passed down for generations, our pieces are designed to become family treasures.
Preserving Ancient Textile Techniques
We only use natural fabrics like pure cotton, linen, and silk. In our commitment to preserving ancient traditions, we're helping revive the nearly forgotten art of nettle weaving. The stinging nettle plant is gathered from the forest, stone-washed, and dried over months until it’s ready to be woven into a sustainable and durable fiber. By creating demand for this rare fabric, we support the last family in Bhutan who maintains this precious craft, ensuring this ancient tradition continues for future generations to appreciate.
For The Conscious Collector
Beyond Bhutan, Kathi’s curated collections include flowing skirts, regal dresses, and ruffled bodysuits created in collaboration with world-renowned boho designer Erika Peña. You'll also find our jewelry collections which feature two distinct traditions: vibrant, hand-beaded pieces by the Embera Chamí Nation of Colombia, as well as silver, gold, and gemstone statement pieces made by artisans in Bali and moon-blessed by a Balinese priest.
Each Earth Wisdom Collection item you wear combines centuries-old tradition with contemporary elegance, turning your everyday moments into occasions worth celebrating.

Myrah Peñaloza
Slow Fashion Designer
Myrah is a Bali-based designer with her own slow fashion label. Family is at the heart of her work. Each garment is handmade by women and their families, in their own homes.
How it began
Kathi and Nando met Myrah and her family in Bali, and a friendship grew from there. They shared a love of creating, and a wish to make something meaningful together.
The collaboration
Together they have created standout pieces like the Patchwork Nettle Jacket, Trinity Kimono and more - pairing Bhutanese weaving with premium, plant-dyed linen.
Beyond the clothing
Kathi and Myrah also host women’s circles in Bali, gathering and supporting their community there.
Erika Peña
Fashion and jewelry designer
Erika is from Puerto Rico, now based in Bali. She trained at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked alongside Donna Karan and Josie Natori before starting her own label. Now, Erika Peña has multiple boutiques across Bali, and her work has appeared in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
How it began
Kathi was drawn to Erika’s creativity from the start. When Erika offered to design skirts for Kathi’s Orisha dance classes, Kathi said yes.
The collaboration
Erika grew up with the traditions of Bomba dance. She designed the first skirts in the Women’s Collection to honor three Orishas: Yemayá for water, Obatalá for creation, and Oshun for beauty.
That design became the Spirit Skirt. It has since inspired many more pieces, all made to celebrate women and the sacred nature of dance.
Adriana Poinet Arimbawa
Jewelry designer
Adrianna grew up in France and now lives in Bali with her Balinese husband and family. Her designs begin with nature: shells, semi-precious stones, and metal, shaped by hand by local artisans in traditional workshops.
How it began
When Kathi and Nando met Adrianna and her family, the conversation turned to symbols, and what they mean across cultures. That exchange became the start of something they wanted to make together.
The collaboration
Together they designed the Bali pieces in our Jewelry Collection. Each piece is made with intention, pairing traditional craft with modern design, and balancing masculine and feminine forms.
Los Emberas Chami de Risaralda Colombia
Master beadworkers
The Beaded Jewelry Collection is handmade by Emberá-Chamí women in the Colombian Andes, the same region Nando calls home. The Emberá-Chamí are known as master beadworkers and keepers of traditional knowledge.
The meaning in the beads
In Emberá-Chamí tradition, beadwork is a living altar, a way to hold balance between heaven and earth. Each pattern carries meaning, and each color is tied to a sound or an element of the natural world.
The collaboration
Kathi and Nando run Arka de la Tierra, a regenerative farm in Colombia. An Emberá-Chamí family lives and works on the land, and teaches visitors their beading. Three generations of women in that family hand-bead each piece in this collection. Fair pay is the baseline.
Bhutanese Weavers - Royal Himalayan Kingdom
At 18, Kathi traveled to Tibet and studied in China. She never forgot the handwoven textiles worn to temple visits and dance ceremonies.
In 2023, she returned to the Himalayas and visited Bhutan. Being there, on the high plateau, rekindled that connection. She wanted to support the women keeping this craft alive, by building lasting trade with them.
The meaning in the weave
In Bhutan, weaving is traditionally women’s work, and a respected one. Patterns are woven to call in protection and guidance for the wearer. Each color and symbol carries its own meaning, like a language held in thread.
The collaboration
Bhutanese women hand-weave every piece in our Blessing Belt Collection. Their weaving also appears on our men’s clothing. Fair pay is the baseline.
