Style & Pairings
The silk embroidery comes from the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. Over several weeks, master artisans weave the motifs on traditional backstrap looms. Weaving instructions have been passed down orally through generations of women. These silk weavings are museum-worthy pieces of fine craftsmanship. This bolero jacket blends rare art with a flattering feminine silhouette, letting you bring the sacred into your everyday elegance.
Care
• Hand wash cold with a non-toxic detergent and similar colors
• Hang or lay flat to dry — do not tumble dry
• Warm iron
• Do not iron directly over embroidered panels
Spirit & Story
The silk panels on this jacket are handwoven in Bhutan by women artisans on traditional backstrap looms. Each motif is created slowly, using techniques passed down through generations and often woven in focused, meditative states.
These symbols are traditionally associated with protection, harmony, and inner strength. Every silk thread is placed by hand, creating textiles that carry both technical mastery and spiritual meaning.
The panels are then brought to Bali, where each jacket is handmade in collaboration with slow fashion designer Myrah Peñaloza. It is sewn by artisans working in small, community-based studios—never factories. Many work from home, allowing them to support their families while continuing their craft.
Only one piece remains. This is a collector’s garment—designed to last, to be remembered, and to be passed on.
