Spirit & Story
Each autumn in Bhutan’s high mountains, artisans pick wild nettle by hand. From that first harvest to finished fabric, the process takes over six months. The fibrous stems are boiled, beaten, sun-dried. Then, spun into yarn using traditional tools—just as it has been for generations.
This slow, chemical-free process creates a rare fabric that cools the body in summer and warms it in winter.Nettle is revered as a highly protective plant. It electrifies your life force, clears negative energy, and supports vitality.
By wearing this piece, you help preserve an endangered craft. You support weavers and carry forward a living partnership of earth, skill, and spirit.
This high-vibration piece was made in collaboration with Bhutanese weavers and slow fashion pioneer Myrah Peñaloza.
