This okama necklace was beaded by hand on a small table loom. This is a technique passed from mother to daughter across generations of Emberá-Chamí women in Colombia.

Deep indigo gives way to soft white, dusty rose, and threads of bronze, radiating outward. Worn around the neck and open at the back.
